Two inmates at Washington State Prison in Georgia died within 24 hours of each other, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC). Israel Jones, in his late 60s and serving a 47-year sentence for armed robbery from Chatham County, died on Friday; Courtney Davis, in his early 40s and serving a 10-year sentence for aggravated battery from Cobb County, died on Saturday. The GDC reported no signs of foul play or altercation in Davis's death, and both deaths are listed as undetermined. The bodies have been turned over to the county coroner and transported to the GBI crime lab to determine official causes of death.
