        "request_text": "To the DOAS Records Management / Open Records Officer:\n\nPursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70 et seq., Georgia Prisoners' Speak — operating as The GDC Accountability Project, Inc., a Georgia nonprofit investigative-journalism organization — requests the following existing record held by Risk Management Services:\n\nA report or data export of all liability claims paid — settlements and judgments — on behalf of the Georgia Department of Corrections from July 1, 2017 to the present, showing for each: the claimant or decedent name (or claim/file number), the amount paid, the date paid, and the associated facility or incident if recorded.\n\nThis is a single report from your claims system. We are not requesting individual case files, correspondence, or a document search — which should keep preparation time to a minimum.
