# Washington State Prison duty roster and shift post rosters, January 9 and 10, 2026

- Agency: Georgia Department of Corrections
- Requested by: FAIR Georgia (shared with GPS)
- Request: R026183-011226
- Filed: 2026-01-12
- Status: Partly fulfilled (GDC's portal marks this request "Full Release." It released the staff roster and the Shift 2B post rosters for January 9 and 10. It said no incident reports for January 7 to 12 had been completed, so it had none to release, and that a new request could be filed later. Rosters for January 11 and 12, and for the other shifts, were not released. FAIR Georgia asked GDC on January 15 why the other rosters were missing and which shift the two rosters cover; the portal record shows no answer.)
- Cost: $0.00 (No fee charged.)

FAIR Georgia asked the Georgia Department of Corrections for all incident reports at Washington State Prison from January 7 to 12, 2026, the prison's current duty roster, and its shift rosters for January 9 to 12. GDC released three files on January 15, 2026: the prison's staff roster dated January 12, 2026 (each employee's name and job title), and the post rosters for Shift 2B on January 9 and January 10. Each post roster lists the prison's 69 security posts and the officer assigned to each; most posts have no officer assigned. GDC said it had no incident reports for January 7 to 12 because none had been completed yet, and it did not release rosters for January 11 or 12. FAIR Georgia shared these records with Georgia Prisoners' Speak.

## What we asked for

> I am requesting the incident reports for all incidents between 1/7/2026 and 1/12/2026. I am also requesting a current duty roster for personnel assigned to the prison. If possible, can the shift rosters from 1/9-1/12 for duty assignments be shared as well.

## What happened

- 2026-01-12: FAIR Georgia filed the request through the GDC Open Records Center portal. GDC acknowledged it the same morning.
- 2026-01-15: GDC's Legal Services released the staff roster and the January 9 and 10 post rosters, and said no incident reports for January 7 to 12 had been completed.
- 2026-01-15: FAIR Georgia asked why the remaining rosters were not included and whether the two post rosters cover a day shift or a night shift.

Records requested under the Georgia Open Records Act (O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70 et seq.), by Georgia Prisoners' Speak or, where a page says so, by another person or group who shared them with GPS. Documents marked "as released" are posted exactly as the agency released them. Files marked "prepared by GPS" are GPS's own compilations of those documents, made for convenience; where they differ, the released document governs. A request is published here when GPS cites it or when its records are useful to readers; records about individual deaths are published on GPS's mortality pages, not here.
