# Georgia Department of Corrections Facilities Operations County Facility Placement Criteria
(Minimum Criteria)
- Must not have more than 13 years left on sentence
- Must have a GED or high school diploma
- Must have 60 days clear conduct
- No medical issues or pending consults
- No Mental Health
- No Detainers or Pending charges
- No Felony Detainers
- No Pending Felony Charges
- No Sex Offenders
- No Lifers
- No more than two assaultive offenses
- No Escapes within the last 5 years
- No Armed Robbery convictions...unless offender has a specific skill needed
Note: Other issues are also considered in placement of offenders in
county facilities.
Retention Schedule: This attachment shall be utilized per the SOP, until such time it is revised or becomes obsolete.
