The GDC did not clarify whether the deaths are related, but they did tell WGXA that both showed no signs of foul play or came with reports of an altercation.
Rush was convicted of armed robbery out of Elbert County and was serving a 15-year sentence, and King was convicted of aggravated assault out of Fulton and was serving a five-year sentence.
Both women’s bodies were taken to the GBI Crime Lab for an official autopsy, and each death is being investigated by the GDC’s Office of Professional Standards.
