Share an Idea with GPS

The Idea Bank is a place to drop ideas for GPS to consider — stories worth investigating, advocacy angles worth pursuing, features you'd like to see on the site. Not a place to report an incident or tell your own story (see below for those).

What kind of ideas?

Story ideas. An angle GPS should investigate, a pattern worth documenting, a person or system worth profiling.
e.g. "Look into how GDC's commissary pricing compares to other state systems."
Advocacy ideas. A campaign to run, a bill to track, a legislator or agency to pressure.
e.g. "Draft a coalition letter on body cameras for correctional officers."
Website or data ideas. A tool, dashboard, visualization, or resource GPS could add.
e.g. "A search that tells families which facility their loved one is in by GDC ID."
Questions GPS should answer. A topic you want us to dig into next, or a gap in our coverage.

Be as specific as you can. If you have a rough draft of the idea — links, sources, or a sentence on why it matters — include it in the description.
