According to the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC), the fight involved multiple offenders and was contained to one dormitory inside the prison in Unadilla.
Five inmates suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to an outside medical facility for treatment.

The GDC says the incident is believed to have been gang-related but shared no further details on the investigation.
