5 inmates injured during fight at Dooly State Prison on Monday, per Georgia Department of Corrections – 13WMAZ

DOOLY COUNTY, Ga. — Five inmates required medical treatment after a fight at Dooly State Prison on Monday, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC).
GDC officials said that a fight broke out in one of the dormitories at Dooly State Prison on Monday, leaving several inmates injured. The fight was believed to be gang-related, per the GDC.
Five of the inmates involved in the fight were transported away from the prison for treatment on non-life-threatening injuries, GDC officials say.
They did not provide any information about when the fight happened, identities of the inmates or how many inmates were involved.
GDC officials are currently investigating the circumstances around the fight.
