MACON, Ga. — An inmate at Central State Prison was injured after a fight with another inmate on Wednesday.

Later that year, in June, three inmates at the prison were charged with stabbing another inmate.
Most recently, in December 2025, a guard who worked at the prison faced charges after falsely imprisoning four Department of Family and Child Services employees because he was mad about his child support payments.
