###### PROGRAM VISION
The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) is
redefining the Offender Mentor Program. Qualifying
offenders will now have the chance to mentor other
offenders in a wide range of areas while incarcerated.
In order to implement the program, Pathfinders
Mentoring Training will be required for all selected
offender mentors. This 7-to-14-week standardized
training course written by Central Georgia Technical
College equips attendees with developmental,
interpersonal, & facilitation skills.
Upon the completion of Pathfinders, offenders will
possess the skills needed to work with other offenders &
will be assigned based on their skill level and strengths.
