A Georgia grand jury has indicted 16 inmates in connection with a series of stabbings at Coffee Correctional Facility, a state prison in South Georgia. The assaults occurred on December 13, 2025, and left multiple inmates critically injured, requiring life-saving medical care outside the facility. According to Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, all defendants are members of the Bloods street gang and face charges including aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and violations of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. The Georgia Department of Corrections and a state special prosecution unit handled the investigation and presented evidence to the grand jury on June 18.
