CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – A Coastal State Prison corrections officer is facing charges in Chatham County.

Michael Shawn Cole(Chatham County Sheriff's Office)27-year-old Michael Shawn Cole was charged with trading with inmates without consent of warden or superintendent, giving to or possession by inmates prohibited items and violation of oath by public officer.

His employment record shows he started working at the prison in May of 2024.
