Grievance Builder

Tell us what happened, and we'll draft a formal GDC grievance under SOP 227.02 — in your own words, citing the policy involved, with the filing deadline and the two-grievance limit built in. You copy it, fill in the blanks, and file it yourself.

Answer a few questions and we'll draft a formal GDC grievance (SOP 227.02) you can copy, fill in, and file yourself. It uses only what you tell us and cites the GDC policy involved. This is legal information and a drafting aid — not legal advice, and not a promise of any result.
Drafting your grievance and finding the right GDC policy… this takes up to a minute.

Before you file — checklist

If you have to appeal — how to actually file it. The rules mention appealing on the JPay kiosk or tablet, but in practice that tablet channel often does not work. The reliable path is the paper Central Office Appeal Form (Attachment 5), handed to your counselor in person — and keep the receipt. You have 7 days from the date on the Warden's response, not from the day you receive it, so start asking for a counselor immediately and write down every attempt (date, time, name, what was said).
