Georgia Department of Corrections · Request R024774-102425 · Filed October 24, 2025 · Fulfilled

We asked the Georgia Department of Corrections for its master commissary list as of November 1, 2025, with each item's wholesale cost and the price charged to people in prison, and for any records of the price changes that took effect then.

GDC released three files four days later: the Commissary Master Product List dated November 1, 2025, the statewide commissary contract effective November 1, 2025 (174 pages), and its internal notice of the commissary price update effective November 3, 2025.

Status: Released October 28, 2025.

Records requested under the Georgia Open Records Act (O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70 et seq.), by Georgia Prisoners' Speak or, where a page says so, by another person or group who shared them with GPS. Documents marked "as released" are posted exactly as the agency released them. Files marked "prepared by GPS" are GPS's own compilations of those documents, made for convenience; where they differ, the released document governs. A request is published here when GPS cites it or when its records are useful to readers; records about individual deaths are published on GPS's mortality pages, not here.
