Dooly State Prison deputy warden bitten while handcuffing inmate, GDC confirms – 13WMAZ

UNADILLA, Ga. — The deputy warden for security for a Central Georgia prison was bitten by an inmate while trying to handcuff them, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
The GDC says Dooly State Prison’s Deputy Warden Charles Hudson was bit on the thumb by an inmate in the prison.
They say Hudson was helping put the inmate in handcuffs when it happened, and that he was treated at the facility Monday morning. No one else was hurt in the altercation.
The GDC’s comments did not say why they were handcuffing the inmate.
This is a developing story.
Hudson has been at the Dooly State Prison since August 2024, according to a press release from the GDC.
Previously, Hudson was Chief of Security at Macon State Prison, which is where he began as a corrections officer.
