Response History
Mariela, You’ve sent a couple emails on how we must help the incarceration process to be rehabilitative in nature and save lives in these Prisons. I couldn’t agree more, however, I’m one legislator and need 91 votes to start change. I’m interested in carrying this suggested House Resolution to encourage compliance and bring accountability “ with respect to the 1897 separation statute, including the criteria used for classification and the percentage of facilities currently implementing separation by gang affiliation”. I hope you are inviting all 236 legislators to participate in some reform for GaDOC Prisons. If positive responses are received… please pair us to start the discussion and policy work . Thank you kindly, Rep. Lydia Glaize, HD 67
